How page deletion works

When you delete pages from a PDF, the tool creates a new file that is a copy of your document minus the pages you marked. Your original file is not modified. What you download is a new PDF containing everything except those pages.

This is different from extracting pages. Deletion starts from the opposite assumption:

• Delete — “I want the whole document except these pages.” Mark the pages to remove.
• Extract — “I only want these specific pages in a new file.” Mark the pages to keep.

How to remove pages from a PDF

1. 1 Open the Delete Pages tool at pdfdistrict.com/delete/ and select your PDF. All pages load as thumbnails.
2. 2 Click the thumbnails of pages to remove. Selected pages are marked for deletion. You can click multiple pages in any order.
3. 3 Click “Delete Pages.” A new PDF downloads with the marked pages removed. Your original file is unchanged.

Your original file is never changed

PDFDistrict processes your PDF in the browser — the file is never uploaded to a server. The “delete” operation creates a modified copy that downloads to your device. The file you started with remains exactly as it was.

This means you can safely experiment: if you delete the wrong pages, you still have the original and can start over.

Common reasons to remove pages

• Blank pages from scanning — scanners often produce blank pages when you forget to flip a one-sided sheet
• Cover pages or internal headers — removing boilerplate pages before sharing a document externally
• Confidential sections — stripping out internal notes, pricing tables, or other content not intended for a particular recipient
• Duplicated content — removing pages that were accidentally included twice
• Reducing file size — a smaller page count often means a smaller file, though compressing addresses this more directly
